24/5/2010 RIBA praise for Broadcasting Place

Broadcasting Place has received an award for excellence from the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).

Downing’s landmark building in Leeds was hailed as ''truly iconic'' by the judges who gave it an award for architectural excellence on Friday 21st May, at the 2010 RIBA Awards.

RIBA said that 23-storey tower, designed by Feilden Clegg Bradley, captured the essence of Yorkshire''s rugged landscape.
