Liverpool-headquartered developer Downing has appointed two new senior facilities managers to its commercial and residential teams to help oversee the company’s growing property portfolio.
The company has appointed Dave Matson as a senior facilities manager, who brings more than 13 years’ experience within the commercial property sector to the role. In his new position, Dave will oversee the company’s London and Liverpool portfolios, which includes its landmark No.1 Old Hall Street development. The building is currently undergoing a major refurbishment programme to create a new 5,100 sq. ft Grade A office space in the heart of Liverpool’s commercial district.
Dave was previously a senior facilities manager for CBRE, where he managed the organisation’s commercial portfolio and Liverpool team.
Downing has also recruited Alan Sothern as a senior facilities manager for its UK residential portfolio. Alan has 12 years’ experience in the property sector, having joined Downing from engineering and technology solutions provider Spie, where he was responsible for overseeing the contract management of new-build schools in Liverpool and Greater Manchester.
The company is now looking to recruit an additional facilities manager in a drive to bolster its commercial property team and support the company’s long term vision to develop its extensive UK portfolio.
Downing owns a wide range of commercial space in Liverpool and across the UK, all managed in-house. Its portfolio encompasses everything from the most prestigious multi-let office buildings, to mixed-use developments with ground floor units for sale and for retail/leisure operators.
