Liverpool’s newest visitor attraction is set to open at developer Downing’s student accommodation scheme The Arch.
Situated next to Liverpool’s Imperial Arch, the new attraction is within walking distance of the Baltic Triangle, Bold Street, the Royal Albert Dock and Liverpool ONE.
The 12,750 sq. ft open plan leisure space has been brought to life by Quirky Quarter through a medley of interactive experiences and brain-stimulating workouts, puzzling challenges and oddball photo opportunities.
The first attraction of its kind in Liverpool, Quirky Quarter will be a unique, fun-filled destination for all ages, from school groups and corporate gatherings to families and friends.
Quirky Quarter’s opening marks the final part of Downing’s journey to see The Arch fully let and functioning. The former Scandinavian Hotel had been derelict for more than three decades before being acquired by Downing and brought back to life as one of the early success stories of the Liverpool Echo’s ‘Stop the Rot’ campaign.
Downing transformed the old hotel and adjoining warehouse in 2015, as part of a multi-million pound regeneration programme to create The Arch.
The developer believes that Quirky Quarter will be a fantastic boost to an area of the city that is continuing to attract new restaurants, hotels and retailers.
