The Port of Liverpool
Situated along the former UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Grade II listed Port of Liverpool Building is one of the city’s most hailed heritage sites. In 2001, Downing became the first private landlord, with it formerly being in the ownership of the Mersey Docks and Harbour Company.
Entrusted with the iconic site, Downing was responsible for the £10 million heritage building restoration, completing two rounds of restoration in 2006 and 2009 before selling the building in 2016.
