Designed by TP Bennett, Vega spans across two new buildings on Rudolph Place containing 841 student beds and Miles Yard, a six-storey contemporary office development.

It is not Downing’s first development in the area, following Atlas. The aim of the development was to build on the success of the previous scheme by designing and delivering high quality, modern, economically, environmentally and socially sustainable student housing.

Building on previous success in Vauxhall

Situated on 30-60 South Lambeth Road, Atlas completed in 2018. The £160m scheme is a 32-storey PBSA development which delivered a total of 578 bedrooms for students in Vauxhall.

Vega is situated in close proximity to some of London’s leading colleges. In addition to the 841 student rooms it contains shared amenity space, a Multi-Use Games Area, exterior gym and an impressive sky garden. At ground level, Downing has created an inviting café which will provide further opportunities to regenerate the adjacent railway arches.

The secondary part of the scheme, Miles Yard, is a new, contemporary office development. It is a self-contained HQ style scheme spanning 27,000 sq ft that has been carefully designed to match the work lifestyle choices of modern occupiers. It boasts impressive connectivity to the wider London area being a 2-minute walk from both Northern and Victoria Lines, overground and bus stations.
